Seller reportedly can no longer open QR code
Summary: rosl2011 reports that a seller was not able to ship the ordered and paid-for Tonie figure on time because, supposedly, he can no longer open his QR code. The seller suggests relisting the item and that rosl2011 should buy it again. rosl2011 has concerns, since the figure is already listed as paid. meinehexe11 and perfect-sally express doubts about the seller’s honesty and suggest that a new label could be created.
I ordered and paid for a Tonie figure on 29/08/2026. Delivery date is between 01/09/2026 and 03/09/2026. Today the seller wrote to me that unfortunately he was too late to ship my figure. Now he can no longer open his QR code. He would relist the item and I could buy it again. I replied that I had already paid for the figure. He just wrote back that I would get the money back from eBay anyway. But the figure shows as paid on my side. Could it be that the QR code can no longer be opened today? What can I do?

Mentor5 days ago@rosl2011 Hey. 🙂 If your seller bought the shipping label (QR code) through our platform, it will definitely be valid for longer than a few days.
I recommend waiting for the delivery date so that you can then open a request for an item not received.
@meinehexe11 Thanks a lot for tagging me. ❤
Best regards,

Mentor5 days agoI also think that the VK isn't telling the truth here. If he can't open a code then you just create a new label.

Mentor5 days agoHey there, hey there.
sounds to me like the seller is trying to pull the wool over your eyes.
@nina@ebay could you please take a look?
