Timeline:I bought an item on eBay on Thursday, 25/05/2026.On the same day, a seller contacted me via WhatsApp. Since I haven't made any other purchases on eBay in the last few weeks, I assume the seller of the item mentioned sent me the message.He wrote:"Hello,I just wanted to get in touch briefly. In the eBay app, the item is unfortunately still shown as ‘not shipped’. In fact, I already sent the package, and according to DHL it has already been successfully delivered.I also still have the proof of posting. So the display on eBay seems not to have been updated correctly.Best regards"Nothing arrived for me, there was no tracking number on eBay. I replied to his message and asked him to give me the tracking number.A day later, on Friday, I then got a reply:"Hello, I shipped the package properly via DHL and can fully prove the posting. I have the proof of posting, the shipping data, and the recipient address. I have already informed eBay support.If it turns out that false information has been deliberately provided here, I will document the matter in full with eBay and, if necessary, file a report. I hope we can clarify this quickly and honestly instead."He refused to give me a tracking numberA tracking number was then added to eBay afterward, but it has the permanent status: "The package has been electronically announced"I can't find a direct way to report something like this on eBay.
