Hello, I received an auctioned water bottle yesterday that was shipped very sloppily in an old cereal box and with excessive postage costs (charged 6.99, shipped for 4.89). The item was declared as used. There were no original pictures in the listing, only an advertising image from the manufacturer. After unpacking, I noticed that the closure mechanism did not work. On closer inspection, I noticed a crack in the plastic, which prevents it from functioning. I wrote to the seller - no response. Only when I requested a return through eBay with an attached picture of the item did she react. And I was accused of this not being a picture of the item she shipped - she supposedly has original pictures of her bottle and everything would be fine there! That makes me wonder why she didn't just include those in the auction to begin with? In her auction text, she also mentioned that she had a second identical bottle. I’m now thinking that she will send eBay pictures of this bottle to back up her position. How much of a chance do I even have with buyer protection? It’s only about 20 euros, but somehow it’s also about the principle.
