Seller is trying to drag it out so they don't have to pay a refund.
Summary: In the discussion, nutzerino10 expresses concerns that a seller is trying to delay a refund. Other participants, such as perfect-sally and vera@ebay, join the discussion, but no details of the content are disclosed. The discussion remains at a general level, with no specific solutions or outcomes identified. This suggests ongoing uncertainty or indecision regarding the issue.
Hello, my purchased item has not arrived, which is also confirmed by the tracking. I therefore opened a request with "Item not arrived". The seller only replied to this request with
"The seller has added tracking information"
in order to delay a refund.
The button to involve Ebay is not available.
One more thing to add:
Before I bought it, I asked the seller whether it would be shipped from Italy or China. He said that it would be shipped from Italy but was made in China. He then shipped it from China after all. It looks like he is doing "Dropshipping". I asked because it is a hassle to order something from China, because it often leads to problems and I wanted to avoid that. He is selling the same item again with cheaper shipping.
That is why this seems suspicious to me somehow.

Vera's answer means: you've already let them string you along for too long! With stuff like that, you have to react much earlier!

Mentor3 months agoHello @nutzerino10,
thank you very much for your post.
I looked into the case for you and saw that the buyer protection period has already expired. That is the reason why you can’t contact eBay. I will message the seller for you to help work toward a solution.
@perfect-sally thanks a lot for the tag 🤗
Kind regards
Vera

OP3 months agoHello and thanks for the reply and for contacting the seller. So now it’s up to the seller whether he wants to refund it? (Because the buyer protection period has expired, doesn’t he have to?)
Best regards

Mentor3 months agoIf it’s a commercial seller, he’d still have to do it, but you’d have to enforce that yourself legally without eBay, and in the end nothing would come of it.
How did you pay? Try the payment provider. As far as I know, with Klarna you have 3 months, and with PayPal even 180 days of buyer protection.
Best case, you paid with PayPal.
