Sale not processed
There is a technical problem.
A sale was not processed yesterday afternoon.
I accepted a counteroffer from the buyer and the item is still "online" and so far has not been marked with the status "sold" and the seller still cannot complete the payment.
I ask for help.

please ask the buyer whether they get an error message during payment.
Otherwise, the system behavior is normal, since with many price suggestions since March 2026 the items are only sold once they have been paid for. You may like that (like Ebay), but you don’t have to (like me, for example)
If it still doesn’t work by tomorrow, get back in touch. Then we can bring in an Ebay rep.

Unfortunately, I can't contact the buyer on eBay because I still don't have his contact details and I can't send him a message.
I already had this problem twice in the last few months with accepted counteroffers and find it damaging to business and an absolute outrage on eBay!
I hope the case will finally be closed tomorrow.

Mentor1 month agoEbay changed something there some time ago, and items are only considered sold once they’ve also been paid for. And sellers actually don’t make payments either.
That a "buyer" can’t pay there is something I’m hearing for the first time. Has the buyer confirmed that?
