Sold items not sent back.
Summary: ayyildiz1264 reports problems with a buyer who claimed an item was defective and requested a return, even though no return was intended. After a second request, ayyildiz1264 accepted the return process and the case was handled automatically through eBay. However, he still has not received the item back after 15 days, and the buyer is still waiting for the return label. eBay marked the transaction as completed, and ayyildiz1264 is asking for advice on how much longer he has to wait and how he can determine whether the item is actually defective.
Hello,
I’m having problems with a buyer. I sold an item, but the buyer says it’s defective. They requested a return, even though there was no return process. On the 2nd report, I accepted the return process and, through eBay, everything went automatically anyway. eBay didn’t even ask me whether I wanted to do a full payment or partial payment. So everything was paid in full. After 15 days, I have not gotten my item back. I emailed, but the buyer says I’m still waiting for eBay to send the return label.
Now I’m asking you all: How much longer do I have to wait?
How am I supposed to know here whether my sold item is really defective or not.
If it’s defective, why don’t they send it back.
eBay says the transaction is finished and closed.
Please help.

Mentor1 month agoHello @ayyildiz1264 YOU have to send the buyer a return label so that you can get your item back and then check it.
If a buyer reports a different item, the seller is responsible for the return shipping costs, not ebay

Mentor1 month agoIf it’s a complaint, you have to issue the buyer a return slip!
And you wouldn’t have decided whether it was a full or partial refund either!
