Hello community, I bought 10 identical items in the USA. The seller shipped them with ebay International, and he also showed me the 4 tracking numbers in a screenshot, which prove that he sent them to me (via ebay International Shipping Glendale Heights). Today I then paid the customs fees online, amounting to 170 euros. When I got home, there was only one package there, containing exactly 1/10 of what I had ordered. The seller showed me the receipt and said that the package I received was the smallest one; 3 larger packages (each weighing about 40 pounds) were shipped with it. When I ask eBay what went wrong, I only get a reply saying that I will not be refunded any customs fees. But after some back and forth, that wasn’t even the question; rather: WHERE are my other packages? What can I do about it? Support forwarded me 3 times, and in the end only wrote that I should open a case and say I did not receive my item. But the problem was not the seller, but apparently ebay International. What can I do about it? In total I spent 1000 euros and received goods worth 100 euros. As far as I know, if I click "item not received," the case automatically opens and the seller has to respond. But what if something went wrong at eBay? Are there any comparable cases?
