Why aren’t sellers required to ship items with tracking numbers.
First, it avoids arguments when the items haven’t arrived; second, you want to have the
items, but the shipping provider has absolutely no way to check where the items are.
Shipping without a tracking number is basically an invitation to theft.
I would have gladly bought something again, but shipping without a tracking number and it did not
arrive. (I got my money back, but that’s not the goal !!")
How does the community see this approach.

Mentor1 week ago · EditedGood question, but in my opinion you have to address buyers who already think even the smallest shipping costs are too much and partly rate badly because of that! Shipping with tracking is simply more expensive, or do you want to pass those costs on to the sellers now too? On the other hand, there are definitely buyers who are banking on it being shipped without tracking/proof so they can end up getting the item for free 😏
And who exactly is being invited to steal if there is no tracking number? Really, only the shipping provider's employees could be considered, and I definitely wouldn't post something like that publicly - it can backfire big time.

The theft can also happen right outside your front door. The shipping company doesn’t need a signature. But it’s clear: the buyer pays the shipping costs, so from now on only with a tracking number. Practical and pragmatic solution for everyone.

Mentor1 week agoYou ARE here in public and there are definitely members here who work for a parcel service and take comments like that badly.
And since Corona, at least here around 90% of parcels have been delivered without a signature, with or without tracking, and it’s probably not really any different elsewhere.
And as I said, people want to sell, and higher shipping costs simply put many buyers off.
I personally wouldn’t have a problem with that, since I’ve always only shipped with tracking and insured. And when I buy things, I also make sure that, according to the listing, they’re sent with a number at least.
