Shipping without tracking: experiences and tips
Summary: othans777 starts a discussion about the challenges of shipping without tracking after an item status is shown as "not delivered," even though the buyer has confirmed receipt. bootyooty explains that without tracking and proof of delivery, buyer protection applies, which delays the release of the purchase price. bootyooty recommends shipping with a tracking number to speed up the process. othans777 expresses frustration with the response received.
Hello everyone,
I’d like to start a discussion today about shipping without tracking. Recently I sent an item as a DHL parcel, which was paid for by the buyer. I’ve already received the delivery confirmation and a positive review, but the item status is still "not delivered," and I’m waiting for the payment to be released.
I find it frustrating that it takes so long for the payment to be released. That’s why I’m interested in your experiences:
Have you had similar experiences with shipping without tracking?
How do you handle situations like this, and do you have any tips for speeding up the process?
I look forward to your opinions and advice!

Mentor1 month agoHi @othans777 it’s very simple: If a buyer reports an item as not received because the seller shipped it without a tracking number and proof of delivery, buyer protection kicks in and boom, the buyer gets their money back.
Of course no "delivered" can appear if no tracking number is stored, and as you know yourself, uninsured shipments simply don’t have a number.
There’s no speeding things up; you just wait longer, or the money and goods are gone too.
If you want to speed things up, then ship with a tracking number and proof of delivery.
