I’ve never had a situation like this before and I can’t find any really suitable info about it from eBay.
So I’m asking here in the community for your support. I’ve been reading so many rules on eBay that my current situation is making me uncertain right now.
Background:
I listed several offers (Buy It Now prices), each with 9 empty Leitz binders incl. shipping. Separate listings.
I showed the binders in the listing, of course. I had packed them each into a compact box and also photographed that box (opened). The scope of delivery stated in the description: 9 x the binders.
A buyer has now purchased 2x 9 binders, respectively. Both purchases show the same delivery address (the buyer’s).
When I view these purchases, eBay generates a single invoice for both of the buyer’s purchases.
So far, everything is fine.
For clarity:
the 9 binders each were a Buy It Now / fixed price (no best offer) and included shipping. So shipping is at my expense.
Question:
Can I basically pack these 2x 9 binders as “one” package and send it to the buyer? Of course, assuming the package is safely packed and the binders are securely stowed. I would pack the two boxes with the 9 binders each inside an outer box as “one package” and send it as “one shipment”.
Is that okay according to eBay rules?
Do I need to pay attention to anything else besides secure packaging?

of course it’s possible to ship them together if it’s the same buyer and the same delivery address and they were bought with the same eBay account.
Even if the items aren’t combined in one order, that shouldn’t be a problem.
And if the buyer has paid double shipping costs and you can ship them together a bit cheaper, then you should refund the rest to the buyer.
And if possible, enter the tracking number for both items, and if that doesn’t work, let the buyer know by message. In any case, with things like this it’s always good to communicate with the other person.
