Extend shipping date
Hello, if a buyer wants a later delivery date, because of vacation, than the calculated one, does that cause me disadvantages because of that (negative rating from eBay)?

But you’ll get a defect entry from eBay if you don’t ship according to your stated details, and that has a negative effect on your service status.

OP3 weeks agoThat's exactly what I mean about eBay. How can I prevent that?

Mentor3 weeks agoSo I would, in consultation with the buyer, cancel the purchase and not even get involved in it in the first place.
You could also mark it as shipped in time without providing a tracking number and then actually ship it according to the buyer’s wishes. However, under certain circumstances you’d then have to wait up to 30 days for your payout, and more problems could come up if, for example, the buyer claims the item never arrived. And if you enter the tracking number later to prove shipping and delivery if needed, the item is considered actually shipped from the moment the tracking number is provided, and then the defect is recorded in the account.
Conclusion: canceling is the best solution.

OP3 weeks agoThanks for the explanation. The customer has already transferred the money and requested it themselves. I’m only concerned that there won’t be any negative impact from the eBay side. But the note about marking it as shipped is very helpful. Thanks for this input
