Insurance shipping USA
How can I insure an expensive collectible card (value over 10,000 euros) that I’m selling to the USA via eBay. SpeedPak only covers up to a maximum insurance amount of 100 euros.

OP3 weeks agoThanks a lot for the info. I’ve now found another solution, namely I’m selling through a commercial intermediary on eBay.
Apparently eBay is supposed to offer international shipping incl. customs handling again starting in November this year. Maybe that will really come back.

Mentor3 weeks ago???? And the commercial seller is liable just like you as a private seller and has to handle customs clearance and ship by value.
If there's anything wrong with the item, HE is liable because he's the seller, does he actually agree to that?
That really surprises me now.

You need to get in touch with a valuables transport company for that, in my opinion. Just Google "valuables transport USA" and ask them about the insurance conditions and the costs.
However, this does not rule out Ebay buyer protection if the item is not as described or is damaged.
If you're unlucky, you'll end up without your money and the goods.

Mentor1 month agoYou won’t have much luck with other shipping providers either, but maybe you’ll find something through a search engine.
And if you’re really smart, then you should just leave it alone and not sell abroad if you don’t want to lose your money and your goods. In the US, the rules of ebay.com apply, and as soon as a buyer complains about the tiniest little thing, everything is gone!
