Late shipment

Question

The buyer asked to ship the item only after a week, since he is on vacation.Does the label expire? How do I need to do that, since it's outside the deadline?Thanks!!!Lilly

many thanks for your post. In your orders, I only find one sale with the note "Ship on Thursday." I'm not sure if you mean this sale. As @bootyooty already wrote, shipping labels are only valid for a limited time and can still be canceled if unused.

I can't prevent a defect in advance. If you received a defect because of a requested later shipment, please get in touch again. What's important here is that, in our communication with the buyer, we can recognize the request for a later shipment. Here it is not possible to include arrangements made outside of eBay.

@tigerlilie19 a shipping label, e.g. DHL, can be canceled within 14 days.

Late deliveries are acknowledged by ebay with a defect entry, it's a pity that your buyer doesn't know that.

@mia@ebay you can view the communication, is there a way to prevent the defect entry?

from my experience, I would explain to the customer that you are bound by eBay's time requirements and would rather cancel the purchase.

You can write to him that he can happily buy the item again after a week.
