Goods with and without VAT shown
Dear community,
how can I show the customer that, on the one hand, I have goods for which I can separately state VAT, and on the other hand, I have goods that are margin taxed. The normal tool only allows one option or the other,
Thanks in advance

you can set that with the line for VAT:
Normally taxed: VAT = 19 %
Margin scheme taxed: VAT = 0 %,
Of course you have to point out that the affected items are margin scheme taxed under § 25 a UStG.
Since it is not permitted to provide tax advice here, you’re welcome to contact a tax advisor of your choice.

OP2 weeks agoHi Peter, thank you very much, but there are both versions. I already understand how it works tax-wise: If I buy goods from a private person, then it is margin taxed, so showing VAT is not possible, and if I buy goods from my own stock or commercially (except from small businesses), then I have to show the VAT. But eBay only allows one setting, and of course I can specify it separately for each individual item. That means with the business VAT setting I can either uncheck VAT or tick the box, but either way it always ends up not being correct.

Mentor2 weeks agoYou have to decide on one version, otherwise it could very well happen that major problems come your way from the tax office, the buyer, or even eBay.

OP2 weeks agoMany thanks, but there are both variants. If I purchase goods from a private individual, then it is subject to margin scheme taxation, so no VAT can be shown, and if I purchase goods from my own stock or commercially (except from small businesses), then I have to show the VAT. However, eBay only allows one setting; for individual items I can כמובן specify this each time.

Mentor2 weeks ago · EditedYes, you can specify it for the individual item, but your addition: The VAT is shown separately on my invoices must then be removed if you don't want to get into further trouble. Because logically that applies to all items and here you're offering something that you may not be able to keep, and that can cause problems.
