Good evening,

I bought goods from the seller gapbookproducts with item location Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The item was delivered in connection with the warehouse of a well-known, globally active American company via the Czech Republic. This was not mentioned anywhere in the listing. The delivery service was an unknown company.

Since I consistently boycott the company in question, and never agreed to leave my data there, I am of the opinion that data protection was massively violated here. Why does eBay allow business practices like this? Why isn’t such a person blocked? Will I always have to expect such escapades in the future? Or after so many years have I simply still not understood eBay?

My report to eBay was classified both by the AI and by customer service as " no violation of the eBay rules".

I would be grateful for an explanation.

here you have to distinguish between 2 things, namely the website of A. and A.Logistics as an independent storage and shipping company.

Here, the goods are only stored and then packed and shipped there.

That's called fullfilment, and ebay itself also offers something like that.

So your data doesn't end up directly with A, but with the logistics provider who handles shipping.

But the fact that the necessary data for order processing is passed on to the logistics provider is usually stated in the terms and conditions + privacy policy.
