Why can’t the seller ship it themselves when purchasing from the UK?
Why, when buying from the UK, can't the seller ship it themselves? Why does Ebay interfere and drive the price up? This might be a case for the EU Commission, since Ebay is thereby obstructing free trade.

why can’t a seller just ship themselves, e.g. via DHL? Nobody is forcing them to. However, if they have an official shipping program from Ebay listed as an option, then that is binding for you.
So Ebay isn’t preventing anything; that was the seller’s choice. Only they know the reasons for it.
