Why can you only send a price suggestion once per item?

Yes, I know, the moderators love the topic 'price suggestion' 😁

But if I click on the blue-highlighted line from @voli-maus (?) at

"Price suggestion without previous price suggestion" , I get the posts

for exactly this chat thread displayed 😕 .

So here’s my (completely different) question. If I have already sent a

price suggestion for an item, only the option 'promote offer' is shown there. So I have no

chance, for example two months later, to send another observer a price suggestion.

Hi Gina,

when you sent a price suggestion, did you check this box?

If so, then the price suggestions for the specified period are sent automatically. If you don't want that, you have to remove the checkmark for the next manual price suggestions.

For the currently active price suggestions, of course you could end them at any time in the Verkäufer-Cockpi-Pro, but according to what you said, you don't work with that.

No, I don't let anything be done automatically, that's too risky for me.

I want to keep watch over my offers myself, control and manage everything 😉

And if that's Seller Cockpit Pro again, I don't use that.... uh, there it is, exactly 😄

the option mentioned for automatic price suggestions is not only available in VCP.

But if you'd rather do everything manually, then apparently you don't need any tips.

For that I use the Windows Snipping Tool and there the camera icon or Ctrl + V.

What does the factor '...depends on how old the listing is' mean?

Are you not allowed to send a price suggestion for listings that have been around for a long time,

even though people have put the item on "Watch"?

And once again it says below:

But I don't know what I'm doing wrong, and after clicking again, the post is still sent

on 'Reply' 🤔

thanks for your feedback!

For most of the items you mentioned, you should be able to send price suggestions.

For the following items, this is currently not possible:

257415117546
257279972550
257279970599
257078888873
257021391570

This may be because these items have not been watched long enough yet or have not been in users' carts long enough, or because the relevant users are not qualified to receive price suggestions.
I recommend checking regularly to see whether you can send price suggestions, as it may be that the requirements for the items listed above will still be met in the next few days and the function for sending price suggestions will then be enabled later. 🙂

That should not be possible. This option "Check price suggestion" is one way to set up your automatic price suggestions, or it is included as an option. Feel free to take a look at this link . Please get in touch if you have any further questions about this.

I read the text under this link, thanks for that 🧡

Almost all of this is already known to me, what I was getting at is that you can NOT send a price suggestion a SECOND TIME - usually to a different user.

Example:

Hans has my item under "Watching", I send him a PV for €10, he doesn't respond, but leaves the item under watching.

3 weeks later Gerda puts it under "Watching". But I can't send her a PV, because after the first PV was sent it says "PROMOTE OFFER", which is of course subject to a fee

And it's the same if, for example, I sell a miniature, then find another one of that type and go to "Relist" and only take new photos. I still can't send a PV for this item either.

Do you understand? THE OPTION IS NO LONGER THERE once you've sent a PV 1x.

You did say that there can be different reasons, which is also mentioned under the link, but if it stays that way for months, I find that strange.

Hello,

Go to your active listings in My eBay or in Seller Hub Pro - opens in a new window or tab.
Use the filter Send offers - available to display the eligible items.
- This option is not available for all listings. The availability of this option depends on a number of factors, such as the age and format of the listing, as well as the rules for limiting the offers a buyer can receive.
- Offers can only be sent if the item has been in the buyer's cart for at least 2 days.
Select a listing and then choose the Send offer option.
Set the amount for your offer by entering a percentage discount, a discount amount, or a custom offer price.
The amount must be at least 5% below the Buy It Now price.
