Why do I have to chase after my invoices?

Hello,
I have made several purchases as a private individual through eBay. And in every single case I then had to contact the seller and ask them to send me an invoice, because no invoice arrived with me. What’s going on there? Isn’t it no longer customary these days to issue an invoice? What’s next? Are we soon only going to get a note telling us where we can pick up our goods, or what? But wanting the money first always works.
So, can you do anything to make sure that after purchases you automatically receive an invoice? If not, eBay is dead to me!

Mentor1 month agoHello @klauanscht-0 as you can now read for yourself, an invoice is only available to businesses or legal entities, not private individuals.
Regarding "wanting the money beforehand," you’re probably also badly informed there. It’s not the seller who receives the money, but ebay, and ebay only pays it out to the seller once shipping and delivery have taken place.
Otherwise, the only option for you is to optionally select "purchase on invoice" as the payment method, in which case you receive the goods first and pay later.

Mentor1 month agoI don’t know where people always buy stuff when there are problems like this, maybe from dealers abroad
with all my purchases from commercial sellers in recent years - no matter the price range - the invoices were included or the invoices were sent by email as a PDF
when I look at the seller ratings from the OP, those are big providers, I can’t imagine that nothing comes at all

Mentor1 month agoHonestly, I don't know what kind of sellers these are either. But as a private buyer, you simply have no entitlement. But I think these sellers don't even know that. I also don't think they are (only) sellers from abroad. With me, every buyer has always received an invoice, only for some time now not anymore in paper form in the package. That's minimal effort and doesn't make a difference.

OP1 month agoIf the commercial seller doesn't issue me an invoice, how do I then possibly assert warranty claims?

Mentor1 month agoIt’s enough to print out the purchase details and then claim any warranty from the manufacturer.
