What does "Hot Auction" mean?
Summary: rusty1508 asked about the meaning of "Hot Auction" on a platform and whether vouchers can be used at checkout. perfect-sally explained that such auctions are close to ending or especially in demand. verena@ebay and hasjana offered support, with hasjana adding that the term used to mean heavily contested auctions. rusty1508 found out that items with red voucher notices grant a discount when purchased and successfully received a discount. petersmodellbahnstuebchen noted that auctions with five or more bids are labeled as "Hot Auction".
Hello,
Recently I bid on an article that was listed multiple times. In the short summary of the articles there were two things I didn't know yet.
What does the red-circled heading " Heisse Auktion" mean?
For these four offers, which expired on the same day, in two, three and four days, it also said in red:
Coupon: 10%, save up to EUR 50.
Can a 10% coupon still be applied when paying for these auctioned items?
If so, where can I find it?
Looking forward to your response

Mentor1 week agoHi @rusty1508
I took a closer look at your link and this seller’s auctions.
With this seller, all auctions with 5 or more bids are marked as "Hot Auction".
Best wishes from the Baltic Sea

OP1 week agoHello,
I think I found the solution.
For offers where you can get 10%-15% credits, these are marked with the red voucher notices.
If you then buy, you can redeem this voucher.
I just bought several things that were marked and got 10% off the total amount from eBay.

I haven't seen that term in ages - back then, these were auctions where a lot of bids were placed

Mentor1 week agoYou’ll mainly find eBay auctions considered “hot” or exciting among the last-minute auctions that end soon, as well as highly sought-after collectibles and tech bargains. To find such offers specifically and be successful, it’s best to use the live overviews directly on eBay.
Whether vouchers can still be used there and where they are then can surely be answered by an eBay employee. She’ll chime in here.
@verena@ebay could you take a look please? Thanks
