I’m a bit confused: On 09/06, an eBay message came through with changes to the terms/withdrawal policy, where sellers were asked to include in the withdrawal notice that buyers can withdraw from the purchase via the 'Return item' function in their purchase overview or order details with the reason 'Withdrawal from the contract'. Then I read online that this isn’t such a great solution, and, for example, guest buyers probably can’t trigger a withdrawal right that way. Then on 18/06, the eBay message came with the link for withdrawal, where guest buyers can also trigger the withdrawal. Of the two withdrawal options from the message on 09/06, the last message with the link didn’t mention either of them at all. Are those now off the table, or do I need to include them as well?
Also, I saw on other eBay sellers’ pages that in addition to the link they include the note:
„If you use this online function, we will promptly send you an acknowledgment of receipt on a durable medium (e.g. by email) with information about the content of the withdrawal declaration as well as the
date and time of its receipt.“
Who does that then – do I send it, or does eBay automatically send the acknowledgment of receipt to the buyer? Where did this note come from? It wasn’t included in the recommendation in the eBay message from 18/06.
