Hello everyone,
I’d really appreciate your advice or the support of an eBay employee from the community, since I’m not getting anywhere by phone.
The case:
Order date: 11 August (order number:
05-15025-83512)Item: Waterdrop reverse osmosis system (value: €217.65)
Payment: €51.80 redeemed with a voucher, the rest (€207.20) paid via PayPal.
Cancellation: The seller cancelled the purchase shortly after the order was received, saying the item was out of stock.
Problem: The PayPal payment was refunded properly – but the voucher worth €51.80 has completely disappeared and can no longer be redeemed.
The item is now back in stock with the same seller.
Experience with customer service: During today’s call, the agent asked me to wait on the line while they sorted out the issue – and then hung up on me shortly after.
My questions for you:
How likely is it that the system will automatically reactivate the voucher after a few days, or does this absolutely have to be done manually by an employee?
Which contact method (e.g. chat, callback, social media team) is the most reliable way to reach someone who has the authority to issue a replacement voucher code?

Mentor3 weeks agoOne more note on that: vouchers are generally not refunded, but the MA will be able to tell you more exactly tomorrow.

Mentor3 weeks agoI only wrote: in general! And I wrote it so you don't get your hopes up too much. But since we don't know the voucher and therefore the conditions, it would already make sense if an eBay employee took a look at it.
