How does verification work?
Summary: magiccat14 reported that they were having trouble making a setting change after updating their bank account with eBay. Hey there, I still can’t set it up unfortunately.
2 days ago I deleted the bank account and immediately added it again, was sent straight to the bank, something with Trustley, where I had to enter a TAN and got a code over the phone from Ebay.
I also received emails from Ebay saying that payout settings, personal data, and payment settings were updated.
Bank account updated with TAN, " You have added the bank account ending in **** as a payout method.
Is my account verified now? Setting it up still doesn’t work unfortunately, don’t you get a notification when verification is finished?

thanks for the answer.
I fill in everything that is important, including photos, and no red error messages appear. The submit button is blue, but when I click it as the last step, it turns grey and nothing else happens.

MentorAug 13, 2026 at 5:54 PMWell, verification won't work instantly. The data also has to be cross-checked. And if something isn't right, you should be told about it.
How exactly it works, an ebay employee can surely explain to you. She'll chime in here.
