Repayment of the order
Summary: tatiaynas_803 is contacting eBay customer service to get help with a refund issue. Although the purchase price for an item was refunded because of a delivery delay, the item was later delivered anyway. The seller is now asking for the money to be returned by placing a new order for the item, which raises questions for the buyer about whether this method is correct and safe. tatiaynas_803 is asking for clarification on how the refund can be handled properly and in line with eBay policies to ensure security for both parties.
Dear eBay customer service team,
I am asking you for support with a matter regarding a refund.
I ordered an item. Due to a significant delivery delay, the purchase price was refunded. A few days later, however, the item was delivered anyway.
Now the seller is asking me to pay back the refunded amount. He is suggesting that I order the same item again and pay for it that way.
Of course I want to pay back the amount, but I am not sure whether this is the official and safe way to do it.
Could you please let me know how I can correctly pay back the refunded amount to the seller in accordance with eBay policy? I want to make sure that both the seller and I continue to be protected by eBay.
Thank you in advance for your support.

Mentor3 weeks agoI would leave what the seller is suggesting alone, that will only cause problems.
A renewed payment via ebay is not possible, it can only be paid again outside of ebay. For ebay, the matter is settled and you have already been protected by ebay.
The seller simply has to see how he can send you his bank or PayPal details.
