Payment withheld.
For an item, the payment is being withheld because it supposedly didn’t arrive. It was sent as a letter, so there’s no tracking. I can’t really be held liable for the post office’s mistakes, can I?
Or is that how it is?
Then I won’t be able to sell anymore, which would be very regrettable.
Thanks in advance.

MentorJul 13, 2026 at 2:49 PMWithout proof of shipment and delivery, it can take up to 30 days before payment is made.
And I also don't think that you won't be able to sell anymore because of that or will with your large assortment ;)

OP3 weeks agoNo, I’m not getting my money. I received the corresponding email from ebay. Even though I only have good ratings and the buyer had already had problems with the issue. It can’t happen more often than that, I can’t afford that, because I have to pay the shipping costs upfront first.
I’ve already started removing some listings. But that can take a while ;-) ...
Anyway, thanks a lot. I have more questions, but I need to ask them again, right?

why can removing listings take longer?
If you work on a PC, just select all listings (without bids) and end them. With your 91 listings, that should take at most 2 minutes.
As for the current case: Did the buyer report a case because of an item not received and you didn’t respond to it? Then it’s clear that the buyer gets their money back.
That’s just the downside when you ship on Ebay without proof of shipping and delivery
