Hello everyone, I bought an item and the offer said "pay in 30 days with Klarna" but at checkout only "pay immediately with Klarna" appears. Since neither Paypal nor any other payment method is an option for me, I just wanted to ask here what I can do about it.

Hi, @sonnf57 yes, unfortunately it’s the case that different options are available before a purchase, maybe that really was the case with your item, you’d have to give us the relevant item number so we can look it up.

On the other hand, it’s the case that only IN the checkout process are the payment options shown that the respective buyer - that varies - can actually use.

For me too, when paying with PP, only PP is shown; in the checkout itself I could then choose pay after 30 days, pay immediately, etc.

But the decision about which buyer may pay how does not lie with eBay, but with the respective payment service providers.

That definitely was not in the seller’s offer! In general, not all payment options are available for all items.

With a business seller, you can use the right of withdrawal if you can’t pay; with a private seller, you have to rely on their goodwill to be allowed to cancel the purchase.
