Received too little credit from eBay for a sale
Summary: holgermac reports that they sold an item as a private seller via eBay for €640.00, but only €555.21 was credited to their eBay balance. They don’t understand why €91.79 is missing, since they were previously shown that no fees would be charged. petersmodellbahnstuebchen recommends checking the transactions in the account to find out the reason for the deduction.
I sold an item as a private seller via eBay for €640.00. The shipping costs were paid by the buyer.
When the listing was created, I was explicitly shown that no fees would be charged for the sale.
However, only €555.21 is shown in my eBay balance. That means €91.79 is missing compared to the sales proceeds I received.
Since I cannot understand why this amount was withheld or deducted, I assume that the billing is incorrect.
€91.79 is a lot of money, money that is due to me for the sale and that I also want to have!

MentorJul 11, 2026 at 8:00 AMHey @holgermac
Take a look in your account under Payments - All transactions. It should say there why something was charged.
Best regards from the Baltic Sea

OPJul 11, 2026 at 8:37 AMGood morning Peter and thank you for your message. In fact, a fee for basic ads was deducted from me. However, when creating my listing, I was shown that no fees would apply. At no point was I aware that I had activated a paid basic ad with an ad rate of 11% 🤷
