Delivery to an eBay pickup station offered by eBay failed.
My ordered item was supposed to be delivered to the next parcel station 216 in Munich, without any special oversize. This did not work; neither the buyer nor the seller is to blame. The seller is lodging a complaint with DHL and the buyer with eBay so that the listing can be removed from the outdated pickup station.
Is this possible here? The customer support AI was totally incompetent.
Best regards

OP3 weeks agoIt was the only current delivery address stored on the account. The offer of the pickup stations came from eBay in the meantime; I simply chose the one with the shortest distance, since I’m actually often still at work during delivery times. There was also no email saying that it had been at the parcel station in the meantime. My email address is also correct.

Mentor3 weeks agoFor the correct delivery address provided in eBay, only the buyer is responsible and no one else!
It's not eBay that provides delivery addresses, but the buyer, and the buyer is also responsible for making sure the delivery address is entered correctly and that delivery can actually be made there. That's not eBay's concern!
You can find ways to contact customer service in the legal notice.

OP3 weeks agoYes, yes, my delivery address is and was correct. The pickup point was offered by your platform during the purchase process! Together with any other pickup points that I did not type in! If the pickup point is not available, you don’t offer it — that’s called information management! If you can’t ensure that, you should 1. make it your business and edit the note and 2. stand up for the damage caused and not shift it onto buyer & seller!

Mentor3 weeks agoHey @randolpdahlman-0
I think you're making it a bit too easy for yourself.
It's not Ebay that suggests the nearby Packstations, but DHL on the basis of the buyer's postal code in the stored standard delivery address. And in the end, the buyer always selects this one during checkout.
If it turns out that the selected Packstation cannot be delivered to for whatever reason, DHL simply reroutes the shipment. Normally, this redirection is recorded in the tracking information and is therefore visible to both buyer and seller.
And you only get an email from DHL if the seller has given DHL your email address. However, they may only do that if they have previously obtained the recipient's consent each time. For this reason, for example, I never pass on my email address or phone number to the shipping provider.
Best wishes from the Baltic Sea
