Returned two items from a seller

I sent two pairs of pants size 38 from the same seller with a return label.
Immediately got a refund for one pair minus shipping costs. How do I get my money for the second pair, it was in the package too. Unfortunate setup on eBay, it’s nonsense to pack two packages from the same seller. And then pay shipping twice. Let’s see whether my seller, I’ve written to him twice, refunds the amount. I ordered two pairs of pants size 36 and received them. Everything ok. Only the seller is unreachable.

A return must be opened for this item. The return shipment can, however, be sent in one package if the items come from the same seller. If you received the wrong size, the seller will cover the return shipping costs. Please make sure to choose the correct return reason here.
Please also open a return for the second item and enter the tracking number there as well, so that you can also receive a refund for that one.

What’s strange is that it seems eBay only allows returns for one item each.
Two items from the same seller, postage twice ?? Packing slip was included.

Mentor2 days agoDid you open a return for both items? If so, was the tracking number entered in the return for both items? Of course you can send them back together, but then it should be handled in an eBay-compliant way. If you give both item numbers, an eBay rep can take a look at it.
And if the seller is unreachable: it's vacation time, and there really are sellers who go on holiday! That should actually be noted in the shop too. Unless the seller is staying silent because they suspect an error on your part in order to avoid issuing a refund - seen it all before.

OP2 days agoPacking slip enclosed for both pants. In my opinion, that’s been handled awkwardly on eBay. Return ok - I pay the shipping costs - ok. But I couldn’t find an option to send back two items with one shipping label. So the refund for one item came through immediately. All fine so far. eBay needs to improve the IT here.

Mentor2 days agoHow on earth was eBay supposed to know what you put in the package and that both items were sent back together? You have to communicate that, and the seller could have refunded both items at any time.

OP2 days agoOne item refunded immediately minus postage. Okay, but it would have been nice if I had had the option to return two items from the same seller with one label. EDV eBay, do a little better

Mentor2 days agoIt is also possible, as has already been mentioned several times! It just doesn't help if you specify that you're returning 1 item and don't open a return for the other item. Even the best IT system can't read minds.
