      Commercial seller is not responding

Hello everyone Unfortunately, I can't find my post again that I already opened about this. I'll try to keep it brief. bought something from a commercial seller, asked for an invoice SEVERAL times, no response opened a case, then the seller suddenly responded after all and started arguing, then also accepted the return The seller claims I received a label, which simply isn't true When I pointed this out, the seller promised that I would get the invoice after all, which of course also didn't happen Now I'm under pressure, according to eBay I should send the item back, but that's not possible because I never received the label What else can I please do? p.s. The seller has already stood out several times because of poor communication.

DDG madness on Ebay - own selling prices are arbitrarily increased

Hello,   we suddenly have massive problems with our digital offerings. eBay suddenly adds 0%, 7%, or 19% VAT to our items. Thousands of our items suddenly have higher prices (of course, eBay benefits from higher sales and commission fees). The biggest problem is that our Magento system naturally issues invoices with the prices at which the items were listed. Customers are complaining massively about incorrect invoices.   Another No Go, eBay's AI (probably looking for keywords in the title) apparently doesn't recognize all digital items or physical items are suddenly mistakenly recognized as digital items and above all, not all sellers are supposedly treated equally. Comparable items from competitors do not seem to be affected by this DDG regulation (captured), so our items are now 19% more expensive than those of the competitors! We were not informed about eBay's regulation and procedure or didn't notice it at all!   Consequences: Complete invoicing wrong, increased number of customer complaints, entire tax data must be corrected painstakingly, massive sales declines in our eBooks, etc.... Both L1 and L2 Support are completely overwhelmed, promised callbacks do not occur, false reasons for the price changes are given which supposedly lie in our area of influence... which is absolutely ridiculous and wrong.    We will now probably have to end all digital items on eBay forcibly. The items become disproportionately expensive for all customers and one supposedly has to painstakingly reclaim the VAT from eBay through monthly invoices (I'm curious if one actually gets the VAT credit back).    Have you had similar experiences and how do you solve this renewed and completely unnecessary nonsense from eBay? The worst thing, in our opinion, is that when listing items you no longer know the percentage (0%, 7%, 19%) by which the price is increased and what the item ultimately costs the customer. The fact that we sell eBooks that are taxed at 7% in Germany seems to be incomprehensible to the eBay system; with us about 10% of items are not captured at all, about 30% are correctly captured at 7%, and about 60% are mistakenly increased by 19% by eBay.   We are so fed up with eBay, always new seller harassment and absolute profit greed... these are not good conditions for further business relationships. In addition, a flood of ads so that the actual item is almost completely lost and on the other hand plenty of providers who can list identical and illegal items hundreds of times and have 5 accounts. Legal requirements such as terms and conditions, the right of withdrawal apparently do not need them either.   If there is no solution to the DGG issue now, we are completely out at eBay.... how do you see it?   Regards, Team TEC

      The algorithm struck again!

Hello  @miriam@ebay DE     I requested the removal of the last negative rating - and of course your algorithm rejected it!  ☹️ The rating says: Arrives unassembled, cannot be "put together" and assembled without glue. Conclusion: cheap and bad!   In the request, I wrote the following: 1. The individual parts are clearly visible in the second image. 2. The description clearly says "kit" 3. Nowhere does it say that the kit can be "put together". 4. Surely anyone who shops in the "model making" category should be aware that glue is needed. 5. I consider the wording "cheap and bad" to be derogatory.   Here is your response algorithm's answer: Our decision Reviewing the rating showed that, in the buyer's opinion, the item deviates significantly from the description in the listing. For this reason, the rating was not removed.   I ask you to have this rating removed!

      Item violates eBay policy

Hello everyone, I hope someone from support or with similar experience can help me out. Several of my listings for water beads/hydrogel gel balls were removed by eBay for an alleged violation of the product safety policy. These are ordinary hydrogel/water beads with full safety and warning information in the description and leaflet. What’s interesting, though: I reported a nearly identical item, which is still active and, according to eBay after review, does NOT violate the policies. Item number: 187614456823 Title: „Gel Blaster Kugeln Hydrogel Munition Für Gel Blaster Wasserperlen“ The listing also describes: water beads Gel Blaster ammunition hydrogel balls use as Gel Blaster ammunition as well as similar item features and safety warnings like my removed listings. eBay replied to me with: „We have determined that the listing does not violate our policies.“ Now I’m honestly confused: Why are my comparable listings being removed while nearly identical listings from other sellers remain allowed? My removed listings had already been active for a long time, sold many times, and contained: safety instructions age warnings warnings about choking hazards correct description of use In addition, I was even previously told that the removal could partly be due to automated checks/AI. So my questions are: Are there currently different evaluations depending on category/title? Are such water beads/hydrogel balls currently allowed to be sold or not? Which specific wordings or categories are permitted? How can consistent review be ensured? I naturally want to comply with the policies correctly, but I would appreciate decisions that are understandable and consistent. Thank you in advance.

eBay is removing real craft straws from the marketplace. Reason: single-use plastic not allowed... crazy.

It’s about my listing of natural, naturally plastic-free craft straws from Rayher, "Straws, 22 cm long Rayher 8906300" Yes, the STRAWs are made of straw. Odd... The packaging is unfortunately plastic wrap, but that’s not what this is about here.  Email from eBay:  We have removed some of your listings: Policy on single-use plastic products Good day wokonmedia, One or more of your listings violate our policy on single-use plastic products and were removed. We know that this can be frustrating. But don’t worry - we’re happy to help you! blablabla....   They’re just guessing out of thin air what the straws are made of... without consulting me, without checking with Rayher, googling it, or inspecting the photo more closely, where you can see that they aren’t the same thickness and are partly conical too. Nowhere in the listing does it say anything about synthetic or plastic!!! How do you come up with the idea of just removing a natural product and guessing what it’s made of here?!?! A straw is not the same as a plastic straw! I don’t think that’s okay.

Automatic refund when customers report a defect => seller experience falls by the wayside

Hi, the usual scenario when selling and returning because of a defect is, as is well known: 1. Customer buys 2. Customer discovers a defect and reports it directly to eBay 3. eBay immediately starts an automatic return process 4. Customer sends the item back 5. Seller can only issue a refund after receiving the goods. As a merchant, however, I have a legal right to repair/replacement (§ 439 BGB) – but eBay effectively suspends this right in its return system .  Why do we merchants let ourselves be bullied by rules like this, among other things? When will eBay finally understand that there is not only a buying experience but also a selling experience? Aren’t we already handing over enough fees to eBay and having to put up with a never-ending list of rules and listing requirements? Also, if we stick with the buying experience: if an item is defective, I would expect the seller to take care of the problem and not hide behind a return process, because otherwise the customer is back at square one.

      Account Restricted

Why do I always get the following message when I try to sell something....   "Unfortunately this account appears to be in violation of our policy that you must comply with German tax rules, so we have restricted your ability to list items. We recommend that you ensure you comply with your tax obligations and if  necessary, seek professional tax advice.{e294924-1234519x}"   I'm trying to sell B"B. My tax advisor would be surprised to get a message like that from me. (The tax office too…)

Secure classification of individual items according to eBay principles

Hello dear eBay team,   I have a question about my product assortment and about the safe classification of individual items according to the eBay guidelines.   In the past, some of my listings were removed and my account was temporarily restricted because the items were apparently repeatedly classified by the system as a violation of the eBay guidelines. In some cases, this was not understandable to me, especially when, from my point of view, they were purely decorative or collector's items.   So that I don't have to proceed on the principle of “try and error” in the future, I would like to clarify in advance whether certain items may be offered or not.   I often see comparable listings already on eBay, but in the past that unfortunately was not a reliable indication that my own item would not be objected to.   Is there a way to have uncertain items reviewed by the specialist department in advance before I list them?   Thank you very much for your support. Best regards Marcus
