Book from 1958 violates eBay policy

Hello,
a book ( item no. 198513630301 ) called " SS in Action A Documentation about the Crimes of the SS 1957 " was removed from us. We appealed, but the decision remains. It would glorify National Socialism and show prohibited symbols.
What the book is about is stated in the title, and it also says that it was published in 1957. ( by the way : We had also successfully sold this edition several times on eBay ).
Unfortunately, we also don’t understand the issue with the symbols, since on many editions of new books and magazines ( e.g. Spiegel ) Hitler or swastikas are also pictured. So these are probably not unconstitutional ?
We wouldn’t have this whole problem if the rules were clear and applied equally to EVERYONE !!!
And to be clear upfront : No, we won’t report anyone. Not now, and not in the future either, because we have better things to do, namely work.

no one who writes here (except the OP) will know the book. Neither will @selina_b@ebay and certainly not the AI!
The book is a historical standard work and a collection of sources that was first published in 1957 by the Committee of Anti-Fascist Resistance Fighters in the GDR at Congress Verlag Berlin.
Under ISBN 978-3360018328, the title was also republished in 2015 by a West German publishing house.
You can hardly get more anti-fascist than that?
@*sweet-melody* The basic principle you linked to also has some exceptions:
- Books, magazines, documentaries, and other articles that objectively describe the period of National Socialism and reflect a purely academic debate.

·1 month agoUnfortunately, no one here recognizes that, @rest-fest On the 1957 book there is a National Socialist symbol and that’s why it gets removed from the listings. No point in arguing.
By the way, interestingly, this eBay principle is missing these little items that you got from the Winter Relief Fund for a donation. At least the backs of some of them also clearly bear a National Socialist symbol and they come from that period. But such items are allowed to be sold on eBay. Not very logical.

OP1 month agoHello, that's right. Since we've been on eBay for almost 20 years, we get stuff like this from time to time. Unfortunately, items are occasionally removed from us, and it's not always clear to us why. Especially since many prohibited items can be found on eBay page after page.

Whether it’s allowed somewhere else now doesn’t help you.
It’s forbidden on eBay, and you have to accept that
if you want to sell on this platform.
You didn’t check beforehand? And just because
you hadn’t been caught before doesn’t mean you had permission.
You have plenty of items on offer that you can sell.
You removed them and can keep selling now anyway.
