Dear eBay Team, for all listings to the USA, the following notice is currently shown automatically:„Due to U.S. policies, import fees for this item will need to be paid to customs or the shipping carrier on delivery.“ This notice field is only correct when sellers use Duties Unpaid (e.g., UPS or DHL Express without DDP). However, many sellers, myself included, want to offer DDP (Delivered Duty Paid). In this case, we as sellers already cover all import duties and taxes in advance. Buyers therefore only pay the item price and shipping and receive the goods without any additional costs. Especially important: When shipping with DHL Parcel to the USA, DDP is now the only available shipping option (except express services). Nevertheless, the notice is also shown here that the buyer would have to pay customs duties. This leads to confusion and discourages many customers from buying, even though no additional fees actually apply. From a seller's perspective, this currently makes no sense: DDP is the only realistic way to ship goods commercially to the USA via DHL Parcel (apart from the very expensive express services). If buyers still see the notice that they would have to pay additional costs upon delivery, DDP is effectively devalued. My suggestion: Please add the option to select DDP in the shipping options. If this option is selected, the notice should be adjusted or removed so that buyers can clearly see that all costs are already covered. Thank you very much for your support! Kind regards
