Error when listing - items do not appear under Active offers
Summary: der-steine-spezialist reports a technical problem with items that are counted in the overview but do not appear under "Active offers," which makes editing difficult. lidor3073 and others confirm similar problems, where newly listed items only become visible later. bootyooty tags an eBay employee who forwards the issue, while nina@ebay offers to check with tech. Several other participants share similar experiences and concerns, with some reporting that missing items show up later.
Hello community,
For some time now I've had a technical problem: newly listed items are counted in the overview (currently 6843), but do not appear under Active Listings (currently 6840). As a result, I can't edit these items or use them as a basis for similar listings. They also can't be found in search in Seller Cockpit Pro. Has anyone else had this problem - or is it just me? I've never had this error before.
Logged in and out, cleared the cache, etc., waited a while - all done, that's not the issue.
Maybe one of the pros can tag an active employee.
Best regards
Stefan
Edit: For clarity, I added two screenshots.

OP3 weeks agoSo the "lost" items have now shown up for me too.

·2 weeks agoThey were all there for me this morning too. Luckily, the ones that were now present twice or three times were listed one below the other.
What else do you actually have to watch out for here?

·3 weeks agoeBay! Things are really heating up again here.
Throughout the day, items kept not showing up in the overview of active listings after being posted. Until I read this here, I kept trying again and again. Should I now assume that everything that was listed two or three times or even more will eventually show up and, since it only exists once, then cause endless DEFECTS?
How is one supposed to work properly? I'm wondering whether all this effort is still worth it in the long run.

·3 weeks agoHi and good evening!
Since this morning I’ve had the same problem: out of around 15 listed articles, only 4 are shown to me at all - the rest seem to have "disappeared". What a shame about all the work!
Best regards
Achim

·3 weeks ago · EditedI have the same issue too: since 11:30 no confirmation email that it was listed, products are not shown in search and not under Active either. I was only able to find them in browser history.
Here’s an example:

·3 weeks ago · EditedIn search and in "Active", everything up to 17:20h is still missing

·3 weeks agoNow everything is trickling in after the fact, now the listing confirmation emails are coming too. Could eBay have a glitch because of the warranty label? That’s supposed to be rolled out too, right?

·3 weeks agoYeah, I have that at the moment too. 2 articles difference, but which ones? I noticed it after this thread here.
Article listed and not visible. And what happens now with the duplicate articles if the disappeared ones turn up again?
If the article isn’t there after listing it and I thought I’d made a mistake, then I listed the same thing again — what now?
I list everything individually by hand.

I had something like that today too, I looked in my shop to see whether everything was still as it should be and found the following: some items weren’t there at all in the respective categories.
If I searched for them normally in the shop, e.g. " Ferrai F2000 ", it showed up, but not in the category and not to be found in the search either. I reloaded the page several times and then they appeared again. I also tried this with a private account, and if a customer had only browsed in the category, they would never have seen these items.

·3 weeks agoThen we can be curious to see whether your technical error and mine are related in some way. 😉 Maybe the summoned Nina (he/she) can clarify that. 😉

·3 weeks agoNo worries, I only just found your post, otherwise I would have taken care of it earlier. 😉

·3 weeks agoHello @der-steine-spezialist
Affects others and me again and again too: Some offers only become publicly visible after 24-48, although visible to oneself.... eBay's AI seems to check something there using a random generator.
der-steine-spezialist
OP3 weeks ago · EditedThat is not the problem. They are not visible to ME (and not searchable) in my own Seller Cockpit Pro. They are only counted in the overview. So it’s probably a technical error...
lidor3073
·3 weeks agoThat’s also what I have; in the overview they are counted, but they’re also not visible, only under "Active offers" in the sales overview. Not publicly — when I click on my profile for newly listed items, I don’t always see all of them right away — only the next day.
der-steine-spezialist
OP3 weeks agoThey are precisely NOT visible under "Active Offers". That's the problem.
lidor3073
·3 weeks agoAh ok, that wasn’t clear at first.
But I have the problem described above, and others do too - maybe it’s related to that after all.
