you first have to list an item and then you should be able to edit and change the account type.

Do you have at least 1 item online? Otherwise the switch won't work.

When checking in your customer account, I was able to find the option to edit it.
Go to the top left via "Hello..." once
Personal data
or use the link:
https://www.accountsettings.ebay.de/profile
Through this route, I was able to identify the field for editing the account type. Please try making the change via a PC.

·4 months agoIt was the same for me too — there was no “Edit” option under the account type. I created my account through Google SSO with my Google Workspace work account. eBay Support explained to me that I should create a new account. Very disappointing.

as @perfect-sally already wrote, you have to post an article first before you can switch your account. However, before switching, you should also have all legally required data available and maintained, otherwise it can get expensive very quickly.
