Hello everyone, hello dear eBay team. I already wrote a post once, but the links were removed, so here it is again with pictures instead of links. Dear eBay team, I ask for a clear statement on whether this is allowed or not. If not, I’d like to know why you don’t do anything about it despite reports being filed.... Each new item is relisted 4 to 6 times. Always the same purpose, the identical item, only a different price, often even the same, and different pictures...
and that’s how he does it with all his items.

OP2 weeks agoSo for everyone who's interested. NOTHING has changed. despite multiple reports, here in the forum, about Account Management as well as Concierge Service, it's always the same - we'll pass it on. nothing gets done. so I now firmly assume that the existing Ebay rule on this no longer has any validity, and I will act accordingly to ensure my visibility. it also has something positive about it, I save myself the ads if I simply list every item x times. but that seems to be what Ebay wants. a shame, really.

·2 weeks ago · EditedIt really seems as if this eBay principle no longer applies. The seller I wrote about here is currently present with 47,656 (!) Buy It Now offers because he has listed his items three times.
What I also find concerning is that for a seller who does not intend it, auctions with best offer are listed three or four times. Something is going wrong there.

Too bad eBay doesn’t follow its own rules here. The one who suffers is the customer; it just becomes confusing for them. However, I see no reason at all to refrain from it for the sake of customers if, in doing so, I risk my own sales chances because I’m not counteracting this accordingly here. By the way - the seller also uses just under 50 of my images, slightly altered by AI, I’ve already reported that too, and nothing is happening there either. Does the term Störerhaftung mean anything to you? Sorry, I really don’t think that’s okay. I try to stick to every rule and am being made to look foolish by you because others completely ignore the rules, gain an advantage from it, and you simply completely ignore it.

I noticed something similar myself recently. The seller kept listing identical offers (image/text/size) three times each - at three very different Buy It Now prices and with a small variation in the title (an appended letter after the number in the title, always -d or -x).
For example, they’re used and battered teddy bears, so all unique one-off items and not new goods:
99810244 old cute teddy bear plush toy stuffed animal L24cm (for €69.00)
99810244-d old cute teddy bear plush toy stuffed animal L24cm (for €55.20)
99810244-x old cute teddy bear plush toy stuffed animal L24cm (for €39.00)
Right next to each other, there are always only two of the three offers. The third offer is further down or on another page.
Is that intentional, a system error, earlier offers that can’t be deleted - or paid advertising? 😉

The eBay AI apparently doesn't recognize that, and the specialist department seems to be deliberately tolerating it; otherwise there's no way to explain it. Well, some would say, it brings in fees so they let it slide.....

·Aug 15, 2026 at 12:38 PM · EditedHmmm.... I just noticed a difference. The most expensive of the three listings is posted in two different categories, while the two cheaper ones are only in one category, and in the same one at that.
As if Ebay weren't already flooded with overpriced things that nobody buys. I find this multiple listing impossible. And the very different prices aren't okay either.

OPAug 15, 2026 at 1:09 PMThey don’t seem to care. I’ve reported that one 5 or 6 times by now. Nothing happens, absolutely nothing. The only thing you hear is "we’ll pass it on" but nothing gets done. I think they just run it through the AI again, the AI doesn’t find anything because of the other prices, then it gets filed away. Or - as I wrote before - only their own rules are enforced, the ones that would cause eBay to lose money. Rules that are broken when eBay makes more money, well.....

Today I had taken a look at the three identical teddy bear offers, two of which are shown at the top in my screenshot. I haven’t added any of the three offers to Watch. Still, I just got a price suggestion for these two offers in different amounts:

What does the seller do if I would accept both price suggestions? After all, he only has the teddy bear once across the three offers.

For some items, it looks as though the seller is selling different colors, and then it isn't a multiple setting.
But to check that more closely, I need item numbers, since I only have limited information from the pictures.

this also applies to items “suitable for” Golf 1, 2, 3, etc. or Samsung a1, a2, a3 etc, then also in size 1,2,3 and color a,b,c ... - that generates dozens of offers, even though it’s always the same item that can be used for different models
... again - that’s what variant listings are for, and the first 5 pages shouldn’t have to be spammed by one seller with 1 item, then another account with the same part and another one after that

·3 weeks agoThen try ordering a printer cartridge here - same cartridge for every model as a separate listing - in that case, a triple listing is almost still tame.
As long as the fees for eBay are right, I guess they’re willing to turn a blind eye.

OP3 weeks agoThat's exactly it. As long as ebay gets enough fees, multilistings will also be accepted. Sad - but the only way to stay visible is then to do exactly the same thing - if I stay honest and stick to ebay's rules, I'm the idiot.
