Hello,I’d like to report a likely technical issue with eBay authentication verification and ask whether other sellers or buyers are seeing the same thing.I sell professionally, mainly sneakers (New Balance, Adidas, ON, etc.). So far, my qualifying sales have always been handled correctly through eBay authentication verification.However, over the past few days I’ve noticed the following:For many items, the blue “Authenticity Guaranteed” logo has disappeared from the listing page.But if you scroll down, the full “Authenticity Guaranteed” section still appears with the process (seller → eBay authentication verification → buyer).If one of these items sells, it is still sometimes sent to the eBay authentication verification center.In addition, this has happened to me in the last few days:I sold several items that would normally go through eBay authentication verification. However, the shipping address was directly the buyer and not the eBay authentication verification center.Yesterday, another sneaker sold, and its shipping address correctly went to eBay authentication verification.For that exact item, though, the “Authenticity Guaranteed” logo was missing, even though the sale was clearly processed through authentication verification.There is also another problem:When I use the “Authenticity Guaranteed” filter (e.g. in my shop or in search), 0 results are shown, even though many of my items actually participate in authentication verification.I tested this as well:I temporarily increased a sneaker to €220 (so above the price threshold for automatic authenticity verification).Even so, the filter still returns 0 results.So the price does not seem to be the cause.What’s also interesting:The problem does not only affect my account.I have noticed the same anomalies with other sellers too.Some items show the logo, others do not, even though both are sold through authentication verification.For about 4–5 days now, I’ve also noticed that my items are getting significantly fewer views and sales than usual. Normally, my listings are viewed much more often every day and are sold regularly. Since this problem started, however, views and sales have dropped unusually sharply.Of course, I can’t say for sure whether this is connected to the authentication verification issue, but the timing stands out to me מאוד strongly. If you open the item, the logo sometimes appears again or information about authenticity verification is shown at the bottom.I’ve also noticed the following with my sales:Some sales were shipped directly to the buyer, even though they would normally be items with authenticity verification.Other sales were sent to eBay authentication verification, even though the “Authenticity Guaranteed” logo wasn’t shown for the item at all.Another strange behavior: for some items, the logo is shown at first. If I refresh the listing page, the logo suddenly disappears again, even though it is the same item.I tested this not only with my own listings, but also with several items from other sellers. The exact same behavior occurs there too. That’s why I assume it is not a problem with my account, but possibly a technical error in the display or assignment of eBay authentication verification.For about 4–5 days now, the views and sales for my listings have also dropped unusually sharply. I’ve never experienced such a drastic decline before.
