Rating removal
Summary: vogelsberger-kinderwelt requested the removal of two reviews related to their eBay sales, citing one as factually incorrect regarding shipping duration and the other as a retaliatory false claim about product quality and return costs. Despite their initial struggles to get support from eBay representatives in the forum, who insisted that the reviews reflected buyer experiences, vogelsberger-kinderwelt noted that the case was decided in their favor. Ultimately, vogelsberger-kinderwelt managed to have the reviews removed after directly contacting eBay, but expressed frustration over the lack of responses and perceived accusations of dishonesty in the forum.
Good day,
I am asking for the removal of the following reviews:
1.) negative
The fabric has very poor, thin quality and does not match the price-performance ratio. The seller does not issue a return label!
If the item does not meet expectations, the order can be canceled. However, the return costs are borne by the buyer. Accordingly, I am also not sending a return label.
That can also be read in the cancellation policy. He wanted a return label from me so that he would not have to bear the costs.
The buyer then simply claimed that the item deviates from the description. However, this is not the case!
2.) neutral
Everything okay. Unfortunately shipping took over 1 week.
That does not correspond to the facts. Bought on 05/07 (Sunday). Shipped on 06/07, as proven (first scan by the shipping company). According to the tracking number, delivered on 08/07.
Kind regards
Kristian

OP3 weeks agoI wrote a message to ebay.
Both ratings were removed!
However, I still can’t understand why I didn’t get any answers to my questions here.
Also, I find it very rude to brand me a liar here.
Why would I claim that a case was decided in my favor if that wasn’t the case?
The fact that one has to be publicly exposed to such accusations from ebay (I assume that the people who write here officially work for ebay), even though they could have seen it themselves (if they had just looked at the message), is more than just cheeky.
Simply ignoring / not answering my questions and further comments then really takes the cake...
I am therefore very disappointed in the staff here on the forum.
I can only repeat myself here too:
1x the case was decided in my favor and 1x it is an ebay seller protection promise.
I didn’t ask for anything outlandish, just the implementation of the "ebay rules".
I wish everyone a nice Sunday and good business

·3 weeks agoHello @vogelsberger-kinderwelt
I haven't read through the entire discussion, but I can't see that an eBay employee called you a "liar" here.
And to get timely responses from the eBay employees, you should tag the one who is online at that moment and responsible for the community. All mentors can tell you who that is.
Best wishes from the Baltic Sea

OP3 weeks agoHello Peter @petersmodellbahnstuebchen
I had written that the case was decided in my favor.
It was written here: "The case regarding the negative rating was not closed in your favor....."
They only would have had to look at the message from eBay. Then they would have seen it.
I had marked several.
Best wishes

I can't judge the first point, since I can't see all the details of your account. And in the heat of the moment anyone can misread or overlook something. You were only contradicted; I also didn't see the term
liarEdit: liar anywhere, unfortunately. And tagging several eBay employees on one topic doesn't help much. Just report it here and one mentor will know who's online right now.
Kind regards from the Baltic Sea

I feel that way.
When my statements are portrayed as false, I get the impression that I’m being accused of deliberately making a false statement.
The opposite of what I wrote is being claimed. I feel portrayed as a liar.
The message from eBay exists. An eBay employee can view it. That’s why I still can’t understand the message. If someone had made the effort and actually looked at the message (I pointed this out several times), they would have seen it.

OP3 weeks agoHello,
why am I not getting a response to my last message?
@vera@ebay @samantha@ebay @elke@ebay
Why is nobody taking a closer look at the issues?
I am stating here that the case was decided in my favor.
I received this info from ebay by message!
It is incomprehensible to me that I am then being told here that this is not the case (so I am being accused of lying). Please just look at the message from ebay!
And again: The buyer wanted to avoid the return shipping costs with a lie (!!). Please just look at everything!
Neutral rating:
I don't understand why ebay offers ebay seller protection, advertises it, and then doesn't keep its own promises. Why isn't anyone commenting on this?
With ebay seller protection, the ratings are removed if shipping took too long, but you can prove that the item was shipped on time.
You can see this from the first scan by the shipping company!

·1 month agoHello @vogelsberger-kinderwelt
Both reviews do not violate the guidelines and reflect the buyer’s perception.
A review is the buyer’s subjective perception and can only be deleted in exceptional cases. Those exceptional cases do not apply here, and therefore we will not remove the reviews.
You have two options for dealing with the reviews.
You respond to the reviews in your review overview and explain your side of things there.
You ask the buyer for a review adjustment.
Best regards
Samantha

OP1 month ago@samantha@ebay
The buyer's perception?
If a falsehood is part of the rating (neutral rating)?
And what does the remark about the return label have to do with the rating?
Why aren't my questions being answered?
There is eBay seller protection!
It can be read on eBay's page!
The neutral rating is therefore "covered" and MUST be removed!
I bought the label through eBay. For the shipping method, I am protected by eBay seller protection.
How many times do I have to write that again?
And once again: The case (negative rating) was decided in my favor!
See eBay message from June 17!

·1 month ago@vogelsberger-kinderwelt
The case regarding the negative review was not closed in your favor, because otherwise no refund would have been issued to the buyer; therefore the review was not removed with the case decision.
As for the neutral review, the tracking information does not show delivery to the buyer, so this review cannot be removed.
Kind regards

OP1 month ago@vera@ebay
Please look at the messages. I’m not allowed to insert messages here. On June 17, eBay wrote to me that the case had been reviewed and it was determined that I had described the item correctly and completely! They also said that the case would be decided in my favor. Of course, the buyer got their money refunded. He also returned the item. I was not charged for the return shipping costs. So in the end, it was a normal cancellation.
For the neutral feedback, the first scan is enough. It was bought on July 05 (Sunday). On July 06 it was already scanned at the Giessen logistics center. In the end, it makes absolutely no difference whether the item arrives late or doesn’t arrive at all. Both versions are covered by eBay seller protection. By leaving the feedback, the buyer confirmed that he received the item, but that it would have taken a very long time. This isn’t something I’m making up. It says so on the eBay page. Why do I have to fight so hard for eBay to stick to the things it promised itself (eBay seller protection)?

·1 month agoHello @vogelsberger-kinderwelt ,
Thank you very much for your post. I’ve looked at both reviews for you. In the neutral review about shipping, delivery cannot be traced via the tracking number, so the review cannot be removed.
In the negative review regarding the quality and the return label, the buyer’s statement is not something we can disprove, and the case was closed after the return shipment with a refund to the buyer, so the review was not removed and still cannot be removed. I saw that you have already responded to both reviews. You have the option of getting in touch with your buyers again so that the buyers can change the reviews themselves.
Kind regards
Vera

OP1 month ago@vera@ebay Thanks for your message.
Negative feedback:
The case was decided in my favor! I don't understand why the feedback still isn't being removed. I never refused the return either! Quite the opposite.
The buyer had stated that the item deviated significantly from the description. That was and is a lie! He wanted to save on return shipping costs. If he doesn't like the item, he can return it. That's what the right of withdrawal is for. And in my cancellation policy it says that the buyer bears the return shipping costs. Here, someone tried to avoid these costs with a lie. Why should I send the buyer a return label?
Of course the buyer gets his money back. He would have gotten that from me too. But not the return shipping costs.
Ebay sent me a message saying that I had described the item correctly and completely and that the case will be decided in my favor. I don't understand it... So how can the feedback stay up then? The feedback is not okay like that because of the reference to the return label.
Neutral feedback:
I bought the shipping label through ebay. It shows me there that I am covered by the ebay seller protection! On the ebay page with the info about ebay seller protection, it says the following:
"Protection for shipping and delivery problems
If an item arrives late, but the tracking information shows that you shipped the item on time, feedback and defects are automatically removed."
According to the tracking, the item arrived on time and disproves the statement in the feedback.
If you ignore that and believe the content of the feedback, then it should still be removed, because it has been proven that the item was shipped on time (scan at the shipping company).
Why doesn't ebay stick to its own assurances/promises?
vogelsberger-kinderwelt
OP1 month agoHello,
could someone from ebay please take care of this?
I really can’t understand any of this.
@vera@ebay @nina@ebay @elke@ebay
neutral rating:
The claim is demonstrably false! See tracking number.
Shipping did not take over a week, as stated in the rating.
Besides, I’m protected by ebay seller protection.
In the event of delayed shipping, which is what’s being claimed here, the rating is removed.
That’s what ebay promises. Why not in my case?
negative rating:
This is a revenge rating. A false reason was given as to why I should cover the return shipping costs. I رفضed this and pointed out that the item could be returned, but at his expense. Here I referred to the cancellation policy.
The ebay case was decided in my favor!
So why wasn’t the rating removed?

·1 month agoHello,
Just don’t think that anyone is interested in you. Let the Call Center "employees" call you, they’ll remove the reviews.
"Value for money" and then, in the subjective view of a buyer, has nothing to do with the buying experience. End of story.
bixtron
·1 month agoOh yeah.. Since when are you obligated to issue a return label? Even if there had actually been a defect, you would only have had to cover the costs - but definitely not be forced to issue a label.
So, complete nonsense - must go.
vogelsberger-kinderwelt
OP3 weeks ago@bixtron right, I don’t have to. There was no defect either. In doing so, the buyer lied. He claimed that the item does not match the description. He was not satisfied with the item / didn’t like it. Nothing more and nothing less. That’s what the right of withdrawal is for. But trying to dodge the return shipping costs with lies is fraud, in my opinion. Then eBay confirms to me that everything is described correctly and that the case will be decided in my favor, and yet they still don’t remove the rating. For me, that’s incomprehensible and an utter outrage.
bixtron
·3 weeks agoThere aren’t any keywords in your reviews that would justify an automatic removal.
The thing about price-performance is purely the buyer’s opinion; it has no place in the SELLER review. Then the customer should rate the product!
As for the neutral one: You bought the stamp on eBay? Then the following applies: submission = the day the stamp was bought. So there’s absolutely no reason to invent a wildly delayed submission just to leave this review standing. If the customer had opened a case here for non-receipt, the seller protection would have had to work with the same data and protect you (max. €20) - why doesn’t it work here?
The fact that unjustified reviews are no longer removed - even if you won the case - has only been the case for some time now. So eBay is apparently doubting the decisions these days...
It makes absolutely no sense. You get the ruling in your favor, item was described and delivered correctly. Customer leaves a red review with "item doesn’t fit". Review is not removed.
Have them call you.
vogelsberger-kinderwelt
OP3 weeks agoyes, I buy the stamps on eBay. That’s why I’m so annoyed, because when I buy through eBay I’m covered by eBay’s seller protection. This is shown to me with every stamp I buy. I can’t understand why people don’t stick to their own promises / assurances. I also can’t understand that this isn’t being handled here / that I’m not getting any answers to my questions.

I’ve now requested it via the link from @voli-maus .

Due to the second part of the review, it has to be deleted. The ebay case was also decided in my favor. It was simply claimed that the item did not match the description. He just wanted to save on return shipping costs.
@voli-maus
Thanks for the link.

·1 month agoUnfortunately, you're seeing that wrong! eBay doesn't have to do anything. And if you actually didn't provide a label and the buyer reported an item not as described (even if it was just a pretext), you may well have a hard time getting the rating removed. Even if others send you links where such a rating was removed, it's still not the same as your case. And if the support rep present doesn't remove the rating right away themselves and you're supposed to go through the link, then that's a 50/50 joker and nothing more. Real violations and the rating gets deleted immediately.
vogelsberger-kinderwelt
OP1 month agoYes, that’s how it was. The case was decided in my favor too.
Why should I also have to provide a label and cover the return shipping costs?

·1 month agoI don't think the review will be deleted, it reflects the buying experience, and the buyer is complaining about the quality of the item. No one here can judge how it was with the return label, but maybe this is your chance if that claim turns out to be false.
