ThemaAct privately & discussChevronRightIconSell speakerguy317View listingseBay's non-existent seller protection Hi everyone, I’m slowly no longer understanding why it should be worth it to sell things on this platform. I’ve now had two cases again that are really infuriating. Case 1: Buyer purchases an item from another EU country. It’s a Portuguese island that’s far away from the mainland. The item is handed over to DHL on time for shipping, with the note that shipping will take longer because of the island conditions (Vila do Porto, Portugal). The buyer opened a case straight away saying the item had not arrived, while the package was still in transit. eBay Support agreed with the buyer and refunded the money in his favor. That left me out a good three-figure amount + shipping costs. Of course I filed an appeal, which was also rejected by eBay Support. 3-4 days after the rejection, the item arrived with the buyer and was delivered. And yes: the tracking number was stored and had also been mentioned to eBay Support in every message. Case 2: Buyer wins an auction and doesn’t pay. The purchase is canceled by eBay. Why does the buyer not have to pay, or isn’t it forcibly collected, like happened to me in case 1? As someone who has been selling on eBay with this account since 2014, and was active before that since 2008, I have to say, it’s terrible what this platform has become. Has anyone experienced similar cases? yesterday at 1:36 PMlast reply yesterday at 2:11 PM
FrageMembers help membersChevronRightIcon E-Bay get a human voice on the phone Hello. My concern: I bought a cooktop on May 15, 2026. Unfortunately it broke down this week, so I missed the return deadline. The seller asked for a little video as proof. I filmed it, and you could see that the temperature was displayed, but the heating element was dead. Normally, when the temperature rises, the center of the cooktop turns red. Back and forth, for days with the seller. At first he wanted my private email address, then that I send the video to an email address he provided, and the circus started all over again the next day. Ask for a video, then an email address, then send everything to a specific email address he gave. A China email address. Nothing bad, but I don't want to lose eBay protection. Everything I sent went via eBay. My feeling is that this will never end. The eBay assistant doesn't help at all, so I want to speak with a human who reads the whole dialog with the seller and gives me some advice. I don't want a discount, just my money back so I can order another cooktop from a different seller. Can someone explain to me how I could reach a human brain on the phone? And a human voice, of course. Thanks in advance.

I can't create the shipping label through eBay, it just isn't being offered to me. Not through Packlink either. Separately, I could do it through DHL Express, but eBay has withheld my shipping costs of €67. I can't get hold of anyone in customer service. 1 week agolast reply 1 week ago

The buyer has confirmed receipt, DHL has confirmed delivery and there is no complaint. In addition, the 48-hour verification after changing my bank details has now expired. Nevertheless, a payout is still being shown to me only up until August 19. Can an eBay employee please check whether the hold is still necessary in my case? 2 weeks agolast reply 2 weeks ago
ThemaCommunity Help & DialogueChevronRightIconMembers help members zezela29View listingsShipping costs to the USA are not shown in the listing - DE eBay SpeedPAK Hello everyone, I hope someone sees this and can help me out here. Here’s the situation with me: I’ve listed items that I also offer for sale in the USA. For this, I use DE eBay SpeedPAK as the shipping method, which I’ve stored via the same setting for four listings. That means there are exact shipping costs for the USA that are defined precisely. Now I received a price suggestion from the USA for an item and, in addition, a private message from the potential buyer saying that they were told to ask me about the shipping costs. That confused me, because as I said, the shipping is set very exactly. And indeed, I then went to the American ebay.com sales page for my item and there it says under shipping: Shipping: Will ship to United States. Read item description or contact seller for shipping options I already don’t understand that, but what makes the whole thing especially strange is that the specifically set shipping price for the USA is clearly visible on the American sales page for one of the four listings I created, all of which use the same setting : Shipping: EUR 45.59 (approx US $52.15) eBay SpeedPAK. ...and that’s how it should also appear for the other items, so the buyer shouldn’t even have to ask me about shipping in the first place. As I said, it’s the same setting, and yet I have two completely different scenarios. I don’t understand it at all. Can anyone help me here? Thanks and best regards Ze 2 weeks agolast reply 2 weeks ago
