Articles that appear nowhere, not even in my backend view, are listed - what’s that about?
I don't find eBay's technical errors funny anymore. This error creates so much pointless rework.
Items that are listed aren't being shown to me, neither in search in the active listings, nor in the shop search, nor in eBay search.
But if I want to list the item again, eBay tells me the item is already listed, and magically there is also a link.

OP2 weeks ago · EditedHappy to do that; I’m happy to give an eBay employee an example number from however many listed items, which I come across by chance but that don’t show up anywhere. And coming at me from the side with “certainly” and, like, without a number we won’t take the case seriously—you don’t need to talk to me like that. I can do without that kind of help and arrogant attitude.
This is not a funny problem. It costs time, nerves, and I have no way of precisely determining which of my listings on eBay exist but don’t show up in searches—but what if they do, and I have to cancel purchases because this eBay bug means duplicate listings exist and I have to cancel purchases. I have no understanding for all the other eBay IT bugs, but incorrect listings are absolutely not okay at all; I have zero understanding for the typical flippant eBay attitude.

·2 weeks agoHey @kollektonaut
my reply was neither off the mark nor any indication that your problem here is not being taken seriously.
The fact is that, when troubleshooting, it is extremely helpful to know the affected article number.
And if you can do without "help like that and such an arrogant attitude," that is your decision

OP2 weeks agoYou helped me zero and using "certainly" is arrogant and patronizing. And you confirm your arrogant, unhelpful manner again with "extremely". Just speak non-arrogantly for once, it’s possible. You can leave out these evaluative adjectives if you want.
For example, I now have an item that still does not show up in my search. At least now it’s back in the Ebay search and in my active list. I’m just really relieved that Ebay has at least fixed part of the searches.
Now I get to go through the entire batch of the listings I renewed yesterday in the hope that, blindly, I correctly identify all the duplicate or missing items. Thanks a lot, Ebay. The thanks for the trouble is nothing; from Ebay there’s simply: nothing. That’s still the icing on the cake.

·2 weeks agoHi,
Peter only asked you for an item number and then explained it to you again afterwards.
I can give you pages full of errors and improper things on eBay. eBay has not fixed any of it to this day, and as we’re all noticing right now, it’s getting worse again.
You can hope here that something will happen. But I doubt it, since I myself have been waiting for more than 3 months for clarification on several serious problems — the new errors are already here...
I’ve dealt with all this nonsense for so long and so often, and especially as a small seller it can’t be that the majority of my administrative effort goes toward "fixing/getting around eBay´s errors". I’m not doing that anymore; instead, I’m making sure that MY business continues to function.
The consequence is clear to me, and I’m now focusing on alternatives that cost me only a fraction of eBay’s fees, but work flawlessly and can be fully managed by me. No falsehoods, unjustified sanctions, buyer and seller protection, etc. either. No tinkering and the resulting errors either. If anything, only offline and after review does it go live. The customers are happy too, because the entire assortment is suddenly at least 10-15% cheaper.
It’s a shame, since you’ve really been at it for a long time and actually enjoyed it.
