Excel file for the daily payout can't be edited or is faulty
Summary: red_dust reports a problem with the daily payout files, which appear to be faulty because decimal separators are not formatted correctly. Other participants confirm similar difficulties, and possible solutions are discussed, including adjusting separators in Excel. elke@ebay and selina_b@ebay pass the issue on to the specialist department, while red_dust expresses hope for a quick solution from IT.
Since Saturday, the files for the daily payout can no longer be edited or
they are "faulty". The amounts come with a period instead of a comma, some, e.g. Euro 4.99,
show up in the column as April 99. I can format the columns as long as I want !!!
It also has nothing to do with cookies etc. ;-)
Tried on different PCs with different providers .......
I asked 2 colleagues on Sunday, and it’s the same for them
Any idea?
have a nice start to the week

transmitted

·1 month agoI already reported this problem in a post this morning. I also had the date issue in one line. Using a period instead of a comma is really annoying.

OP1 month agoThanks for the tip, but I only have the "standard version" of Microsoft 365 here, so unfortunately I can't find that there .........

·1 month ago@red_dust Did you start Excel first and then open the CSV file, or did you just double-click the CSV file directly?
Because with a direct double-click on the file, it doesn't work.

·1 month agoHello @red_dust
I can confirm the different formatting ("." instead of ",") in all fields where amounts are involved.
It probably has to do with an update in the creation of the transaction files by ebay.com.
Here is a possible workaround until the problem is resolved:
Start Excel and then open your csv file there.
Then Excel’s text import wizard should open and click Next.
Select semicolon as the delimiter and click Next.
click Next
Change the delimiters
Decimal separator: from "," to "."
Thousands separator: from "." to ","
click OK and then Finish
Good luck!
