We haven't heard anything from the specialist department that wanted to take care of it.
By the way, it's still the same and no notification comes in when a PV is received.

·3 weeks ago@perfect-sally Hey. 🙂 Notifications about price suggestions are generally no longer sent via eBay messages. This is done via email, push notifications, and via the Seller Cockpit Pro.
If price suggestions are not shown or announced there either, we need another response so that we can have this checked separately.

OP3 weeks agoOk, thanks @nina@ebay the PVs come via the red bell and into my email program. I don't have push notifications, and I wouldn't even know what that is.
Still, it would have been nice to get an info from eBay if something suddenly was no longer available.
So why is the specialist department asking at all whether I changed something if that no longer works? That doesn't really fit together either!

Otherwise I would ask you to remove this feature for me, so my customers no longer feel ignored/taken for a fool by me....

·1 month agoI've got a different problem related to that. In the eBay Android app, I still have the red todo for an open price suggestion. But the buyer who sent the suggestion also bought the item at the same time with his suggestion and paid shortly after. The item was also shipped, but the red todo marker is still there in my overview and won't go away anymore. That's driving me crazy, I don't know whether it negatively affects anything. I don't have any way to remove it. On the eBay website, there is no such notice for an open task or another open price suggestion, only in the Android smartphone app.

·1 month agoI got a notification "Paid - ship now". But the item was already shipped 1 week ago... Stuff like that happens from time to time and goes away by itself (if).

Not exactly the same problem, but maybe there's a connection:
When responding to price suggestions, i.e. making a counteroffer, there is also a text field for a message that can be directed to the seller. Sometimes I write a bit of info about the item (manufacturer) or ask a question there.
I've noticed a few times lately that I don't get a reply to it. So maybe the seller doesn't even see my text, or doesn't have a way to respond?

this is shown to the seller, but it's relatively small and gets overlooked. Later on, you also can't base claims/details in messages from price suggestions on it, because the offer still applies.

OP1 month agoDon't read too much into it; very few VKs pay attention to this text field or bother to read the rambling there.
Sometimes those who send the PV think a short novel would influence the VK's decision, but they're way off. I don't respond to it either if it's not really relevant and sensible.

I have to admit that I don’t pay attention to the notifications about PV, since I’ve set automatic acceptance and rejection so that I don’t have to watch them. If the PV is within range, it gets accepted; if it’s outside, it gets rejected.
That way I only have to keep an eye on the orders.

nah, I’d rather do all that myself, and for the simple reason that otherwise I wouldn’t even notice whether PVs are coming on the particular item if they get automatically rejected. I want to know that.

·1 month agoI received a price proposal from a buyer, which I accepted. As the seller, I can’t see the item as sold anywhere on my account. I also haven’t heard anything from the buyer. This has now happened to me for the fourth time. So far, with accepted price proposals, I could see the items under sold and not yet paid. There I could also combine shipping costs when buying multiple items. None of that is possible anymore now. Does eBay want to sabotage instant purchases? Then the price proposal makes no sense at all if it ends up in eBay limbo. As a seller, I’m very angry.

OP1 month agoEbay changed something there some time ago, and it can happen that the item only appears in the orders once it has been paid for. Of course, that’s counterproductive if you can’t even cancel the purchase when there’s no payment. That definitely wasn’t how it was intended. That would need to be followed up on again too. But this has nothing to do with sabotaging Buy It Now purchases, since it wasn’t bought immediately anyway, but with an offer.

·1 month agoEbay should just not change anything that’s working well! Like I said, 4 sales have been prevented this way. Since Ebay only gets the advertising bonus once a sale is made, it’s hurting itself too. I hope the old state is restored soon.

I had that problem yesterday too. I received two price proposals, and I wasn’t notified about them either by email or through the eBay app. I only noticed it by chance when I wanted to look at my active listings.

please check back again tomorrow morning, then the staff member on duty can pass it on to the specialist department.
Actually it's not nice when others are affected too, but in this case it might help since I'm not the only one affected. It had actually been bothering me for quite a while, but with ebay something is always wrong anyway and I thought it would sort itself out. But nope.

OP1 month agoFor example, for this article I got a PV today: 126219132826 which I only saw because the red bell had "lit up." In my mail program, the message about the PV came through, but not in the eBay messages. And that’s been going on for quite a while with some articles.
