Hello community,I need your help and experience with the following problem.I sold an item through a promoted listing. The buyer paid and then, within 24 hours, contacted me on their own and asked to cancel the purchase. In principle, I’m willing to agree to that and fully refund the purchase price – the problem is the advertising fee of 210.05 euros that eBay charges me if the purchase is canceled, even though I did not initiate the cancellation.I then called eBay customer service in Brandenburg on 17/05/2026 at 12:26. The representative in charge, Mr. Masnah, was very helpful and explicitly assured me that the transaction would be closed by eBay within two business days at no cost to me.So far, nothing has happened.Independently of that, another complicating factor is that I was not aware of the currently difficult shipping situation to the USA – the buyer is located in Minnesota.I would like to continue selling through eBay, and I also have quite a few listings, but right now I feel pretty much left on my own.I’ve tried contacting them in writing via the app and the web portal, but I’m not getting any response; it’s now been over 10 days - the buyer is understanding, but I’d really like to get it off my mind.Has anyone experienced something similar or knows the best way to reach eBay and get the case closed?Thanks in advance!
