Good evening, I also have a question about a sale on eBay.It concerns a first sale since the start of my membership in 1997 (different account, ebay.com), which means I have no practical experience as a seller. I am aware that eBay will delay the payout significantly; that is not the issue here either. This is my sale as a private seller to a private buyer in Belgium.The buyer’s address was provided to me by eBay after payment. However, the buyer contacted me via an eBay message and would like an addition inserted between his name and the address, which is the name of a photo shop.Example: „C/O photo shop”. Google Maps showed me that the address given is in fact a photo shop, quite a large one at that, whose name does not match the buyer’s and which also does not list him in its legal notice. However, I know that PayPal in particular insists on the exact spelling of the recipient address, and I fear that — should the buyer open a payment dispute directly with PayPal — I would lose that PayPal case. My question is whether, as a buyer, I would still be in the safe zone if I were to write the address addition requested by the buyer, „C/O photo shop”, somewhere on the front of the package with a felt-tip pen. In the tracking, the use of the buyer address provided would still be visible. Perhaps one of the sellers reading here has had experience with this? Thank you in advance.
