Unfortunately, I have to voice my displeasure about the system. I listed item 407112840879 and had created and prepared the listing in the afternoon with a complete description and a planned time for today evening at 7:45 PM.
After everything was done, I checked the listing, which had since gone online. I see 5 views and 1 watcher. Ok, great. I look further and find a rudimentary item description with a title and the shipping carrier mentioned.
After I’ve now added the description, however, the listing is “invisible” to others and it also does not appear in my seller profile - only in “active” and if I open the direct link in the browser.
I honestly don’t think that’s good and it makes selling harder. I know that it then gets re-indexed in part - but the item WAS visible! THAT is a mystery to me. With other items I list, I’ve already resigned myself to the fact that sometimes they only show up 24 hours later.
I don’t think this approach is so great when you want to get rid of your stuff. I went through everything again today and found various things that can be sold - but not like this!
It would be good if eBay didn’t kill the full item description, because that creates quite a disadvantage and risk for us as sellers.

However, that doesn’t explain why, with @lidor3073 , in an offer with scheduled start time, the text of the item description has completely disappeared as soon as the offer is online. That’s how I understood your post?

That is indeed true. I provided a complete item description.
After going online, the item description was reduced to a minimum, and after editing it again, the item had “disappeared”.

Maybe the AI is interfering again, or it’s due to the browser?
I’ve noticed in Firefox that the item description is loaded last when I click on a listing. Because loading takes forever, I now mostly use Opera on eBay. It’s a bit faster there.

I think I recently overheard that the review period can start counting again after an edit – so invisible for up to 24/48 (?) hours.
That probably has something to do with the buyer experience factor and stuff. Harder to find, but faster to sell if, for example, the auction duration has effectively been shortened. ;-)
