Hello,
there’s a private seller on eBay offering Amazon vouchers, but he sends empty envelopes. He’s already received negative feedback about this, but he still keeps selling Amazon vouchers anyway. What makes the whole thing fraudulent now is that in the AUCTION TEXT he asks for an instant bank transfer, so completely outside eBay’s payment system and buyer protection. I’ve already reported this listing to eBay several times, but eBay always just says “does not violate our policies.” How on earth can that be?

·1 month agocurrently there are 160 offers with "instant transfer" (not all of them fraudulent), plus quite a few more with PayPal Friends payments or cash ...
... no, I'm not going to report them all

OP1 month agoHuh? Sorry, but anyone who bypasses eBay payment processing and insists on instant bank transfer and PayPal Friends & Family is simply a fraudster in my book. No argument. Because this is deliberately undermining buyer protection so they don’t have to refund any money and also don’t have to be obligated to ship anything at all, or, as many do these days, send empty boxes and envelopes.
eBay payment processing is there for a good reason.

If someone comes at me the wrong way once, or if I see injustice and have the means to act: that person will regret it! Otherwise I'm rather peaceful. Only ripping people off/injustice and also chauvinism are things I really hate, and you’d better not push those buttons.

OP1 month agoApparently there are no people at the reporting hotline anymore because EVERY report and EVERY "appeal" after that gets rejected.
And now it's too late again, because the voucher was sold to a sucker once again, because eBay DOES NOTHING.
