DHL package lost, trace request is underway but buyer is demanding his money back immediately | Sell

Hello,I unfortunately have a problem with a buyer.I sent a package on 6/3/2026, insured with DHL. Unfortunately, the package did not arrive, which is why I also started an inquiry. However, this is still ongoing.Now the buyer wants his money right away. He has already opened a case for this reason, and eBay has now refunded him the full purchase amount.Honestly, I don't understand this. I entered the tracking number and also wrote to the buyer.I didn't want to refund him yet, because if DHL does end up finding the package and delivering it to him, I will lose the item and my moneyIf DHL says the package is gone, then I understand that I should refund him, but already now? Is it normal that eBay gives the buyer the money back so quickly, even though it can be proven that the item was sent insured to the correct address and the package is still on its way?
