Can't change anything because I'm supposedly acting as a business
Summary: tertldd reported a restriction on the eBay account due to suspicion of commercial activity, even though they had never sold commercially. They couldn’t find any helpful messages for support. perfect-sally suspected that the account had been classified as commercial because of earlier sales activity. verena@ebay offered to have the restriction reviewed by the specialist department. Later, elke@ebay confirmed that the restriction had been removed and that tertldd can now sell private items again.
Hello everyone!
I wanted to sell something again today. After I had everything ready, the notice appeared at the top of the page
"Your eBay account is currently restricted because your selling activity suggests commercial activity. We have sent you a message with the next steps. You can access it in your My eBay under Messages. Further information can be found in our Legal Portal."
First of all, I have never traded commercially, secondly I can't find such a message in my account, and thirdly, the help isn't really helpful when I explain my problem to it.
What options do I have to have this restriction lifted?

·1 week agoIf you receive this message, you probably have sold on ebay in a commercial capacity at least in the past, according to ebay's view, and were surely also asked to switch your account to a business account. Apparently you didn't do that, and so you can no longer use the account.
Maybe an ebay employee can say more about it; she will get in touch here.
