AI removed for allegedly violating eBay policies!!!
Summary: The discussion is about the fact that an AI element was removed because of an alleged violation of eBay policies. Several participants discuss what may have led to this decision and what steps might be taken to resolve the problem. There appears to be uncertainty about the specific reasons for the removal.
Hello,
the following items were removed by an AI because it supposedly violates sexual content!!!
Honestly, what nonsense that you rely too much on the AI and unnecessarily get the sellers riled up or damage our reputation.
The items I offered are 100% fine and therefore do not violate eBay guidelines.
I ask the support team to reinstate these items.

OP2 months agoAll of my appeals were granted and the images were reinstated.
That shows how the AI goes wrong, because people rely too much on AI bots.
Back then, this platform was more human, with smaller mistakes.
Sure, I have the AI to thank for the warnings and bans, because these were never articles with sexual content. Before that, the first warnings up to the first three-day ban were on me. Even so, the AI thinks it's especially clever and makes mistakes nonstop.
And whether the pictures are mine or not, nobody HERE can know and make assumptions.
I was a photographer and took countless photos at many trade fairs on two continents.

·2 months agoAnd now you're supposedly a private seller and making a nice profit with photos. Not bad either!

OP2 months agoUsing the informal 'du' is also a thing, a lack of respect.
But anyway, I've been in contact with the tax and trade office for weeks, and they're checking whether I really need a trade license.
And if I have to pay anything back, I'll do it.
End of story!

·2 months agoIf you don't like being addressed informally, then please stay away from forums, because using informal address is customary there and has absolutely nothing to do with a lack of respect!
But if Your Majesty prefers a different form of address, let's see if something can be done about that 😉

OP2 months agoAlright, I was referring to netiquette.
But this is just a standard forum, so it probably isn't a professional, expert forum. :-))

·2 months agoOh boy, if you want qualified statements and comments from real experts, you certainly won’t get them for free 😉

·2 months agoYou are surrounded here by people who buy and sell here forever.
That should be enough expertise.
There is actually a lack of respect here in your tone and in the disregard for the right to one's own image, combined with copyright.
But fine, I've been in contact with the tax office and trade office for weeks, and they're checking whether I really need a business license.
Whoever believes that ...
Ismir ..... I wish you a good flight. Head first, out of the sales platform or wherever else 😎

·2 months agoJust so you know:
it doesn’t matter at all whether you’ve reached an agreement with the tax office or anyone else, it won’t protect you from costly cease-and-desist letters.
Neither from the photo rights holders, nor from competitors if they suspect you of commercial trade or spot other mistakes on your website.
That’s regulated by competition law and has nothing to do with the tax office, or with a business registration that exists or doesn’t exist.
