Are used, washed cloth diapers sellable???
Summary: kiramaus06 expresses frustration with eBay for removing their listings of secondhand cloth diapers and a nursing pillow, despite other similar listings being active. They argue for fair treatment and question eBay's enforcement of rules. *sweet-melody* and petersmodellbahnstuebchen suggest using alternative selling platforms and reporting non-compliant listings. bootyooty provides links to eBay's policies on selling used clothing and product safety, acknowledging the issues with inconsistent enforcement. Additional remarks discuss the ineffectiveness of phone reports, suggesting online reporting instead.
Hello dear community, I’m really angry right now. I just had another unsuccessful phone call with eBay.
This is what the following problem is about:
I had four listings with cloth diapers in a set in my listing list. All sets were only used a little and are in TOP condition.
These sets have now been deleted by eBay. Reason: Used diapers may not be sold on eBay.
So I entered diapers in the search list and selected condition: used.
And sure enough, there are 187 listings with used diapers / cloth diapers. Why aren’t these listings deleted too ???
I think the same rights should apply to all eBay members. Either reactivate my 4 listings or delete all 187 listings from other members
delete them all.
In addition, my nursing pillow from HOBEA was also removed from my listing list. Allegedly because of concerning ingredients. The pillow comes
from German production, mind you, and has been tested for harmful substances. What’s also interesting is that an identical nursing pillow, even with the same pillow cover, is being sold on eBay.
I also reported this fact several times. What happened: absolutely NOTHING.
Now I really have to ask myself what job the eBay employees on the phones actually have? The staff in the eBay offices also just send
the standard replies to the members who ask questions. There is no individual clarification of a specific case at all.
That really doesn’t make eBay fun anymore. In the meantime, we’re living in 2026. There are much better ways to manage sales and purchases.
Well, maybe someone has an idea and can give me some feedback regarding my problem.?

·1 month agoWhat I always find odd is that people only want and need to report others so vehemently once they themselves have been affected by a deletion and a violation of basic principles.
Before that, nobody was interested in whether there were still 300 or 30 other offers there. 👎🏻

OP1 month agoI've already taken note of the principles regarding used clothing. What annoys me is that right now 187 members are offering their used cloth diapers for sale on eBay. My four cloth diaper sets were removed. I reported this fact to eBay by phone. Nothing happened.

·1 month agoYou can save yourself the trouble of calling the phone jokers; they’re quite happy to only tell you what you want to hear.
There’s only a small chance if you report it through the article.

·1 month agoHi @kiramaus06
we also don’t know whether your offers were deleted because of the algorithm or whether another member reported you for the violation. Maybe someone who doesn’t mean you well??
If it had been the algorithm, other offers would certainly have been removed around the same time.

·1 month agoMoin @kiramaus06 it is prohibited to sell used diapers on eBay according to this policy
https://www.ebay.de/help/policies/prohibited-restricted-items/grundsatz-zu-gebrauchter-kleidung?id=4281
Used underwear and socks are not allowed, even if they are cleaned and in clean condition. This includes, for example, boxer shorts, tights, briefs, underpants, diapers and jockstraps. Bras are not considered underwear.
As for the nursing pillow, it was certainly a violation of the product safety policy.
https://www.ebay.de/help/policies/prohibited-restricted-items/grundsatz-zur-produktsicherheit?id=4300#section2
Nursing pillow: Must meet the CPSC safety requirements (16 CFR Part 1242). The listing must include an image of the required labels and the following notice: „This nursing pillow complies with CPSC safety requirements“ (This nursing pillow complies with CPSC safety requirements)

with regard to nursing pillows, I’m 🐖-level lucky.
Mine are all quiet in the sense of silent and calm 😂

·1 month agoHello @kiramaus06 !
Even if so many used diapers are being sold there,
it's forbidden on eBay. You've been caught now, and the others
haven't yet. You're welcome to report them. You can also offer your used diapers
somewhere else too. What do you think of the flea market?
Good luck!
