Deception when editing articles that do not meet the requirements
Summary: zappydooyoo expresses frustration over eBay removing their listing due to an unauthorized link to a manufacturer's website. They criticize eBay's handling of the situation and the inability to edit the listing. sunrise1605 responds by emphasizing that eBay's policies against such links are well-known and questions the connection between these issues and broader societal claims made by zappydooyoo. lidor3073 shares a similar experience with eBay and also expresses dissatisfaction with current conditions, both on the platform and in general.
Hello everyone
I had posted an item that contained a link pointing to the manufacturer's website to get all the technical data.
eBay “hid” the item and informed me in the messaging system that my “action” was required and the item
will be reactivated once the “issue” has been fixed.
If the link isn't allowed, why is the item posted at all?
Why isn't the check done before submitting the form? Missing item specifics are noticed immediately too, aren't they?
Well, intellectual deficits can happen from time to time ...
Good. So I open the item and take a look at the form. At the bottom are the buttons. One says “Edit”. It can't be clicked,
it doesn't respond at all. So editing isn't even possible. Probably deliberately.
Here is the text found above the item description
This listing violates our policy on buying and selling outside of eBay. It will only be shown again after you have fixed the problem.
After that I filed a complaint that the edit function doesn't work at all. The reply says that the
link isn't allowed and the item was therefore removed.
Well, I already know that - or is reading comprehension today not even enough to recognize what the REASON for the complaint is?
I can only tell you, we shouldn't just worry about why this country is falling into the abyss, but we should remove the people
who are deliberately causing it .... and don't worry, it will happen ....

·2 weeks agoThat a listing deleted by ebay cannot be edited and relisted has been known for months. If you didn’t know that, well, now you do
https://www.ebay.de/help/policies/listing-policies/grundsatz-zur-verwendung-von-links-auf-den-ebayartikelseiten?id=4248
Probably no one can answer the question of WHY it gets deleted only after being listed. Even AI can’t do everything (yet). That probably has little to do with reading comprehension.
"removing people" I think is pretty bold, given all your frustration !!!
You פשוט just don’t write stuff like that, and conspiracy nonsense is therefore completely out of place.

·2 weeks ago · EditedI had the same crap too when I listed my old but still working digital camera - with a link to the technical specs - it was removed for the same reason and with the exact same wording. Well, then I copied in the technical specs without the link and the camera was sold in no time.
But I can agree: This country is doomed.

·2 weeks ago · EditedYou haven't been on Ebay since yesterday.
Ebay doesn't want links in the description, not even to the manufacturers' websites.
You should know that too.

What does Ebay, a US company, have to do with a made-up abyss of Germany?
