Selling items with a sales license
Summary: vintageforestgermany asks whether there are any restrictions if licensed items that they normally sell in their online shop can also be offered on eBay. perfect-sally asks for more information about the type of license and the items in order to be able to answer the question better.
Hello everyone,
My question is from the perspective of a commercial seller. We sell items in our regular online shop for which we buy a license every year in order to be allowed to sell them. Now we’ve been wondering whether we can also upload these items to eBay without any further ado, or whether we have to expect restrictions? Or do we not need to worry about that at all? Maybe there is also a contact we can get in touch with about this.
Thanks in advance for any answers.
Best regards

·2 weeks agoAren’t such details agreed/described in the terms of the license grant? Off the top of my head, I’d think you’d have to look that up there or ask about it.
Here on eBay, with your account and by listing, you’re again confirming that you’re only offering what you’re also authorized to offer and what complies with all rules, especially for commercial sales. In case of doubt, those definitely take precedence, meaning that even if you have “licenses” for (?) something, but it’s not EU-compliant, for example (certification marks/electronics/hazardous substances … …???), it still can’t be sold here either.

What kind of license and articles are they? How is that supposed to be offered and shipped?
